3. LOCAL INFECTIONS : unhygienic conditions of toilet seats and unawareness of maintaining personal hygiene give rise to local anal infections and itching. Recurrent infections induce anorectal conditions.
4. VASCULATURE OF ANAL CANAL: this is physiological cause and generally the defect is there by birth. Symptoms occur after some period without any external factor. In this condition, the vessels of the anal region are dilated or have bigger lumen. Therefore, even though the bowel habits and diet is appropriate, the patient develops Piles over period of 15 to 25 years of age.
5.PREGNANCY AND ASCITES : These are the pelvic causes for Piles. In both the conditions, intrabdominal pressure increases. This condition leads to increase the pressure on perineal region, accelerating the development of Piles.
6. AGE AND CARCINOMAS : the muscles of perianal region becomes lax or loses their tone with age. In This condition, mucosal prolapse occurs and the enclosing veins become engorged. Carcinomas are generally seen in old aged patients which lead to heavy bleeding resembling to Piles.
7.PORTAL HYPERTENSION: Portal means related to Liver. When the pressure inside the vessels of Liver increases, it leads to Piles, As the veins of the anal canal ultimately connected to Portal veins.
